Think pad thai, crispy duck spring rolls, Thai curry dishes and so much more. We only use fresh ingredients and everything is made from scratch; from our spring rolls to curry pastes. Our head chef, Kon, brings the tastes of Thailand straight to Dunmore East.

Meet Kon

Kon has been inspired by cooking in his homeland from a young age. As a child, he accompanied his mother to local markets in Northern Thailand where his mother prepared street food.

Kon’s father, who was a doctor, had a special interest in food as medicine. His dad taught him all about the health giving qualities of herbs used in cooking which he still uses in his dishes today.

When he was 19, Kon moved to Bangkok to train as a chef followed by two years of training in Malaysia. In 2002 he moved to Ireland where he has worked in many fine establishments all over the country.

Kon prepares each dish with passion and we have had nothing but amazing feedback since he joined us at The Cliff.
